What would you tell your 14 year old self?

I got this idea from Two Pretzels.

We all have regrets and wish we would have done certain things differently, or at least thought about life differently. What would you tell your precious and oh-so-naive 14 year old self?

At 14, I was a high school freshman.

- I'd tell her that she is doing well and not to second guess everything.
- I'd tell her that she will, one day, be friends with her dad.
- I'd tell her to take softball more seriously. Running IS NOT everything, and yes it may cause you to have hip surgery by age 40.
- I'd tell her to rethink choosing the path towards an art career. Sure, it's rewarding but unpredictable. Maybe you should have a back-up plan. You are good at math!
- I'd tell her to date the nice guys, and not focus so much on the ones that seem so exciting! They will not be 10 years from now.
- I'd tell her not to worry about boys ALL THE TIME. You have already met your husband. Keep talking to him and when he asks you out in 4 years, GO!! for G-sake!
- I'd tell her that being different is a good thing, and it will allow you to meet some very interesting people and good friends that you will keep throughout your life.
- I'd tell her not to take everything so seriously. You are only 14!
- I'd tell her not to be so hard on her mom. She is doing her best.
- I'd tell her that being the "nice girl" is a blessing, not a curse.
- I'd tell her that high school is not everything. No one will care about what you were like, or will remember that embarrassing thing you did...
- I'd tell her that her life in 20 years is pretty great and no matter what decisions she makes, it will all work out.

What would you tell your 14 year old self??
