Exersaucer

Crazy Brady

First time using the Exersaucer

We had to prop Brady up with a blanket (behind him). He loved it! It was a little too much stimulation for a 2 1/2 month old (yeah, he's only 2 1/2 months), he got really fussy afterward and then passed out. But he learned so much!

I have a video, but I need to figure out how to get it from my phone to my computer...

Computer cam

Mommy and Brady playing with the "photo booth" on the computer... This was impossible. Everytime I pushed the "take picture" button, he went crazy. Here are a few...

My camera's memory card is full, so this is the only way to take pictures today.

naptime

I should be grading exams, but I can't reach them.

He IS cuter than the quarterback

When Brady wakes up, he talks and laughs.
Who is he laughing at? I have no idea, but it is pretty cute.

Already in training

Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday, Matt!

I would like to say a lot of nice things about you on here, but I think I will tell you in person. I will spare the public the gooshies. I love you!

Just some cuteness to enjoy

For family who doesn't get to see B everyday...

Sleep is nice

Brady has NOT been sleeping. And I haven't either. I haven't slept more than 5 hours at a time since I was 8 months pregnant. Most nights, I sleep 2-3 hours at a time.

Since day one he has been sleeping in this next to my bed -

It has worked pretty well, but in the last week I noticed he likes to sleep on his side, and he hasn't been sleeping well at all. So we got him a pack n play.

I wanted him to sleep in this until he (me) is ready for his crib, which is dooowwn the hall and faaaaar away in his own room.

He likes the pack n play (likes the turtle mobile and that there's more room), but only sleeps in it for an hour at a time. The first night he woke up every hour. The second night, he woke up after hour one, I fed him and he fell asleep in my arms. We slept like that for the rest of the night. Ugh. I didn't even realize it until I woke up around 5am.

So last night, Matt and I were frustrated because he would not fall asleep. I decided to try the first bed again. He slept 5 hours straight and then another 2 hours. aaahhhh. This is heaven for me. We are both less crabby today. I don't know what we will do in the future. I am just glad we slept last night.

What makes Brady smile?

Vaccinations

(The hippo in the previous post is organic, which I love - Thanks Grandpa)

Brady got his 2 month shots last Thursday.  We are not giving him all the vaccines that are recommended. We are still not giving him the Hepatitis B shot. Why? Because Hep B is sexually transmitted. I researched the others (rotavirus, polio, hib) and they seem to be necessary, so he got those. The first shot didn't phase him, but he screamed with the second. Poor guy. He has to get these at 4 and 6 months, too. There are so many side effects with these, but it seems he only had a couple - slight crabbiness and maybe a fever. He may have been warm, because I may have overdressed him the last couple days. He is not warm today, but he is a bit of a crabapple. He also had a REALLY bad diaper rash. So bad he was in tears. I'm not sure if it's related, but I did some research and other mothers have noticed a similar reaction after vaccines.

Will he get the flu shot? Not sure yet.

There are other shots that he may not get in the future either, but no decisions have been made.

The side effects, ingredients, etc are so scary! especially for a newborn.

Visit with Barra

Barra drove from Cleveland to visit me and Brady before visiting with her "hussies". This was my first day out on my own. We went to Sidelines and had some food and beers. It was nice, but too short. Though I am glad to be back with Brady for the night. We are back to our normal posts - Brady sleeping on my lap while I type on the computer (me leaning to one side). When can I start yoga again?
